Soldat is a 2D side scrolling shooter with bad netcode and terrible lag. Nonetheless a bunch of people played it, and some people decided to form a competitive group, which fought other competitive groups and then died and revived a bunch of times only to merge with yet another competitive group that began sailing away from the poorly-coded game, split into two and now resides in a Ventrilo channel.
